William Davies is a Manager at IMIG, where he leads project delivery and operational improvement programmes across manufacturing and industrial environments. He coordinates multidisciplinary teams to drive timely execution, ensuring that operational targets are met and solutions are embedded effectively across the business.
He specialises in programme management, data-driven decision making and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on execution and delivering measurable results. He primarily works in the automotive sector, supporting OEMs and tiered suppliers across a range of operational and project challenges.
At IMIG, William has delivered operational improvements for many automotive clients, including a site-wide process review where he conducted time studies, identified inefficiencies and aligned cross-functional support teams, including maintenance, to meet customer expectations. He has also led data-driven planning initiatives, analysing schedule requirements to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality-assured stock availability.
Before joining IMIG, William led two complex insourcing projects for a major global automotive manufacturer. The first involved relocating a high-volume casting operation from Europe under tight time constraints and with limited safety stock. He restructured floor space and optimised material flow to support a smooth transition. The second project consolidated a broad portfolio of parts into in-house production to reduce operational costs, requiring coordination across engineering, logistics and production functions to meet ramp-up targets.
He previously held several roles at Magna International, progressing from Junior Project Manager to Project Lead, where he managed operational projects and supported delivery across manufacturing functions. He began his career as an Electrical Engineering Apprentice at Cast Alum, gaining hands-on experience in an Aluminium foundry environment with engineering processes.
William holds an MBA in Project Management and a background in Electrical Engineering.
