Ed Shrimpton is a Senior Manager at IMIG, specialising in strategic change and business transformation with a focus on delivery and benefit realisation. He is a Specialist member of the IFT and brings deep experience in programme and project management, operating from hands-on delivery through to Head of and Project Director-level roles in complex turnaround and transformation environments.
His core expertise includes programme and project delivery, recovery of underperforming initiatives, and leading complex regulatory, strategic, and business turnaround change. He has delivered major transformation programmes across a wide range of sectors, including insurance, pensions and investments, banking, payments, telecoms, automotive, manufacturing and healthcare.
Before joining IMIG, Ed led multiple post-merger integrations and business divestments for a global professional services firm and delivered a regulatory-driven legal entity transfer under tight deadlines with extensive stakeholder engagement. His earlier career included senior project management roles within a global professional services firm and across leading organisations in the banking, payments and telecoms sectors.
At IMIG, Ed has led the PMO for a major innovation programme at a luxury automotive OEM and served as Transformation PMO Lead on a critical turnaround for a healthcare business. He has also delivered supplier capability and performance assessments with executive-level reporting and recommendations.
Ed holds a degree in Business Studies and is certified in Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and as a Prosci-certified Change Management Practitioner.
