Rene brings a wealth of expertise to our team, supported by his Master’s degree and a remarkable career journey. He began his professional life in the German Army, where he gained invaluable leadership skills through international deployments. After his military service, Rene transitioned into the corporate world, focusing on restructuring, turnaround management, and business recovery. Over the past eight years, he has worked as a management consultant for renowned clients such as Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, and BMW, as well as Tier-1 suppliers. His achievements include successful Greenfield projects, restructuring initiatives, and regaining IATF certification for mid-sized companies, all while emphasising process optimisation, cost reduction, and high product quality.

Rene Helmreich is Executive Vice President Industrial (Global) and Managing Director of IMIG Industry Consult GmbH in Germany. He advises executive teams during operational crises and large-scale turnarounds ,with a clear focus on delivering measurable results within 90 days.
René is a recognised expert in operational recovery, supply chain stabilisation, and performance transformation across the automotive, battery, aerospace & defence, additive manufacturing and industrial machinery sectors. His leadership combines strategic clarity with hands-on execution ,bridging board-level intent and factory-floor reality.
Recently, he has acted as board advisor to a leading European battery manufacturer under the Teneo umbrella, and led multiple international task forces for Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers at risk of delivery failure to major OEMs. As a certified IATF and ISO auditor, René has restored lost certifications of several manufacturing sites, redesigned core quality processes, and re-established customer confidence under extreme pressure.
He previously operated as an interim COO and Plant Manager, leading operational turnarounds across Europe. He stabilised distressed suppliers, drove double-digit OEE gains, reduced tool scrap, and delivered multi-million-euro savings for PE-backed firms. He consistently restored liquidity, service levels, and customer confidence under high-pressure conditions.
At IMIG, René continues to lead rapid impact Programmes to stabilise operations, improve OEE and cost performance, and strengthen supply chain resilience, consistently transforming crisis into performance.
